Maarssen
The front part of the site is privately owned. The rest of the 18 ha. park was purchased by the municipality of Maarssen in 1966 and opened to the public six years later. A significant part of the area has been able to develop almost undisturbed over the past 150 years, making it more comparable to natural forest with specific vegetation due to the limeless clay soil.
