The Westerheide (Wester Heath) is a beautiful nature reserve that is grazed by cattle. This is the place to be if you want to come face-to-face with Scottish Highlander cows. These large grazers are really photogenic, but please respect the animals and do keep a safe distance.
There are also many relics from prehistoric times hidden and the area is of archaeological interest.
