Thanks to the clean water from the Vecht, Weesp was known for its excellent quality beer for a long time. The fortified city supplied the city of Amsterdam with beer and supplied the VOC ships that sailed the great seas. In 1920, Weesp's last brewery closed its doors. Exactly 100 years later, the beer brand Wispe opened the doors of its own brewery with the aim of reviving the days of yore.
Visit the brewery at this special location and learn more about the brewing process and the rich beer and jenever history of the city of Weesp. The brewery is open by appointment for group tours or beer tasting in the tasting room.
